This is Lela Zaburi Wolves, a role playing site set on the Zaburi wolf islands. Three Zaburian packs make there homes here and struggle for survival and peace. They are Baridiganda-Zaburi Pack to the far north, made up of mostly grey wolves and arctic wolves on the tundras and boreal forests; Janichanua-Zaburi Pack lies in the middle regions, inhabited by grey wolves mostly -though changes have brought arctic and red ones as well- they are usually at peace, and Volkenoneka-Zaburi Pack, the infamous red wolves of the south. Much of their home had been destroyed by the eruption of Ember Mountain but as strong willed lupines, chances of a comeback are certain.
Intertwined by rivalry, compassion, and ultimately love, these packs and even loners of this land will stop at nothing to defend their homes and continue to interact whether it be in battle or in friendship. Janichanua-Zaburi
Alpha: None Alphess: Sonya
After recovering from Baridiganda-Zaburi's raid that wiped out nearly all of the pack, Sonya, heir to Kimiko and Raidon, the former Alpha pair, returns and reclaims the land that was her home. After recruiting Nakkura, a red male, into the pack, they quickly become friends of some respect. One night was the white alphess sat ruminating the stars, she was met by another red wolfess called FireWren. Being the daughter of ScarletFlame and DuskShower, the former shaman and beta of the pack, she asked for information about her parents. Sadly, Sonya told her of their deaths at Baridigandian paws and FireWren agreed to join her parents' former pack.

Volkenoneka-Zaburi
Alpha: None Alphess: Mica
The Mountain destroyed much of Volkenoneka land, all but the Ruin Valley and the Treasure Beach have been singed and charred. Little prey still survives in the damaged landscapes, but yet it is still enough to sustain the few remaining members of Volkenoneka. Mica met the loner Faellen only a day after the eruption, she offered him a position in the once-great Zaburi pack, but could really care less about his descision. Afterwards, she discovered the loner Eaglewing. The young chestnut wolf and the alphess have more in comman than meets the eye...they share the same father, Yukon. Eaglewing agreed to become the next Volkenonekan shaman since Renaj has passed into the paws of Lupus and Malaika never returned. The half-sisters went to find any survivors of the horrible eruption. They come across Obsidian and Theluji, though both are terribly injured and burned, they are still alive. But the same cannot be said about Mica's mate and alpha, Fra'kin and Mica's four pups. They no longer walk on earth.

The Rules YAY! FUN! The Rules! As much as we all hate them, we need them. And you must read the rules before you are allowed to create your character or post on Lela Zaburi Wolves. There is a codeword in the rules that you need to get to the Descriptions board, so we'll be able to tell if you didn't read them. Mwahahaha.
Audition All new members must audition here, to show us your roleplaying skills. If you're a member of the old lela zaburi(s) you can skip this. It doesn't have to be made up, and can be from another site, but we'd prefer if it was canine. It should be an example of some of your best work, and even if we don't accept it right away, try try again
Descriptions (1 sub-board) This is where you first post your character's bio. Please use the form provided, and use description! Once it is moved to the Accepted Characters sub-board, you may begin roleplaying with that character. If you try to post with them before, then that post will be deleted without warning, even if you spent forever working on it. You have to wait for it to be accepted. Mwahahaha
Breeding Board You don't actually have to breed in this board, but this is where the form for your pups is located. You must follow it. If a pup does not turn out the way you wanted, don't complain. You could kill it off later, or let someone else adopt it. A staff member (other than yourself) will give you the results for your puppies!

Baridiganda-Zaburi Pack
Nne Island This is a big island sticking out of shallow water. A cave stretches from the east of the land and curls around most of it, except for the southwestern border, where you can leave to get to the rest of Baridiganda's territory. There are a few patches of herbs for the shaman, but other than that very few vegetation besides the few coniferous trees that scatter the land, which is always either chilling or coated with frost or snow, as it is the most northern part of the Zaburi lands -- though the mostly arctic wolves' thick pelts protect them from this immortal chill. The camp is located in the Icefall Cave, a very chilling place full of ice and water
Bahari Povu Island The sandy island features a big cavern with cool sand floors and a salthingyer interior. On the outside you can climb the rocks or wrestle in the sand. Inside the water is pointless to lap up, and also the salthingyer surrounding the island; Bahari-Povu Island is the farthest island to the west in all the Zaburis. If you cross the waters there is a seperate forest island with a freshwater pool in the middle. Only mice and racoons are caught on the strip, and on the main island there is no prey

Tundra Fields The main area of Baridiganda-Zaburi, this is a wide-open tundra with plenty of caribou in the spring -- during the colder months many die since they cannot move any farther south. It's a great place for arctic wolves! The snowshoe rabbit population is dwindling from excessive hunting, so catching a caribou a week should keep your hunger away. There are a few cliffs, where you can watch the starry sky at night. 'Tis a romantic place, so bring your mate or lover here on calm nights -cough-
Gnipeels Forest During the summer, this forest is full of life...and prey such as deer and marten -- yet hardly any rabbits or the like. On occasion you may run across a caribou that pushed its way into the forest. But in the winter, it becomes a desolate wasteland of snow, ice, logs, and hibernation, proving it a bad place to hunt except for a rare deer every once in a while. It contains many streams, making it a good place for a drink since the Great Strait is salthingyer! Scouting tests are held here because of the trees and undergrowth; there is limited cover in most of the Baridiganda territories
Verdent Forest Verdant Forest is a fairly small forest area sprinkled with thick trees, tall grasses, and broad, worn-out paths. There are a few smalls streams and fresh water reserves with small fish at the sandy bottom. These tributaries weave through the spruces and provide a cool place for pups to swim about. Overall, not a lot of prey is caught here, except for the occasional rodent. Mostly, insects reside here, and in some times of the year annoying bees will swarm about; in others, catepillars horde the trees. But this is where the pack lives, tucked away in the densest part of the forest, where the trees grow the closest together
Cerulean Lakes The lakes are really a strip of land surrounded by a few ponds. In one area there is a tangle of herbs used for the shaman's medications. There are many tall grasses and occasional flowerbeds littering the landscape. Usually smaller prey is captured here, like birds and rodents. There are snakes, too, so be careful, especially in the grassy areas. An earthy strip molded by generations of paws is covered by shallow water; this is a kind of land bridge shallower than the rest of the straits that hold the Zaburis together...and it is also one of the ways back to the mainland

Fuschia Sky This grassland is named for the pretty view of the sunset as it turns the horizon delicate purples and pinks. It is a chilly area of tall grasses and rock mounds surrounded by a sparce forest. There are a few lakes in here, also, but not major ones. A lot of prey is here, mostly bison and ground-dwelling birds, so an egg would make a pretty good snack. This is a very popular spot for the pack so more time is spent here then in the Verdant Forest
Ocean Strip At the southeastern island there is a pretty long sandy area with woods and tall grasses sprinked inbetween. It is a beach area mostly, with scarce prey in the woods beyond. Sometimes fighting and scouting tests are held here, but since the most you can catch are a dwindling number of deer hunting here would not be wise as of now

Volkenoneka-Zaburi Pack
Treasure Beach A poor place to live for its little cover and warm weather, but it is well protected, surrounded by tall rock formations and water. There is no prey also, but the pack lies in the cavern, which is filled with sparkling minerals. The sandy beach is a great place for the pups to romp when supervized by an adult wolf, and the tall grasses that shoot up in different areas are a good place to hide and pounce on an unsuspecting sibling
Death Forest Formerly the Berry Forest, the woodland is now named so because of the volcanic eruption it has faced. Since the mountain was so close to the groves, all of the trees were destroyed in the lava. What remains are tall, pointy, stripped and black trees with nasty-smelling bark. They say that a forest fire will make it grow back stronger, but an eruption won't. The Death Forest is feared to remain this way forever, but it may all change with time
Ruin Valley Inside this reasonably shallow canyon you are sheltered by the fierce winds of the beyond. Some prey can be hunted here, mostly species of wild boar and such. There are a lot of tall grasses covering the ruins, and plenty of room to stretch ones legs. Odd patterns carved into stones by the Others dot this place, and the rocks are fun to look at and climb on. This and the Treasure Beach are the only territories that have completely escaped the volcanic eruption
Ashen Bush This area was once protected by thick woods, but with the eruption came destruction. Luckily, some vegetation remains, and some smaller prey -- mostly rabbits, which are scarce in the other territories -- are coming back. The odd patterns etched into the grass are burnt away, leaving black trees, tall grasses, and rabbits. This place has a very good chance of coming back, since some trees have survived and the grasses have as well

Neutral Territories
Trio Island This is a big island between the Zaburis and the Neutral Territories, and one of the most important place to the Zaburian wolves! It is surrounded by chilling water that seperates the Trio Island from the main lands. This is where the three packs meet in peace at the beginning of each year, discussing topics such as prey rarity and suspected trespassers. The meeting place itself is barren with a few trees here and there as well as a couple of bushes. There are absolutely no other animals like prey here -- just the wolves. The alphas of each pack leap onto a large, broad rock called the Onu Stone. They speak of new arrivals to the pack, changed hiearchy, and dangers as well as the information mentioned before. Sometimes the packs get tense during the meetings but battles rarely break out

Springs of Tranquility This is one of the few places still at peace. This place is -- for the most part -- deserted and that probably is why it is so tranquil. Not many creatures can find these springs, except for a few lone wolves. The land is filled with springs and underwater steams. Wildlife includes deer, fish, birds, squirrels, hares, foxes, and anything that survives in warm climate

Red Plains This is a long flat plains full of prey, water and caves. Unfortunately, the perfect conditions have been fought over by all of the wolves, both Zaburi and minor packs. The result of the battles are puddles of blood coating the grass from recent battles, and newer ones leave a gruesome stain...therefore it was named the Red Plains. Though the loss would be terrible, the reward would be great if this land was won for a single pack. However, wolves -- pack wolves and loners -- that come for the use of this land and not to claim it are welcome. Sometimes the Zaburis use it for their new wolves' trials
Wisdom Peak This territory was just newly found by the packs. It is a large area of cliffs and grassland. A large mountain juts out of the middle of it, carved into the shape of a wolf. The Wisdom Peak was said to be where Lupus sets paw on the Earth, though that is only a legend. It has mountain sheep, deer in the lower lands, and some small prey. Some say that the packs were blessed with it by the Wolf God himself, so there will be no pack to take complete control over it
